Dinner helps young Jaxon

A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held from 4:40-7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Leland Public School cafeteria for infant Jaxon Gary, who was diagnosed with Peroxisomal Biogenesis Zellweger’s Spectrum.

Jaxon, who lives in the Grand Rapids area, is the grandson of Mike and Rhonda Mack and the nephew of Timmy and Tyler LeVeque of Leelanau County. He is the son of Jessica Mack, who attended Leland School, and Andrew Gary.

Jaxon requires around-the-clock care, including medications, tube feedings and physical therapy.

There is a suggested donation of $8 for adults and $6 for students, with children 5 and under eating for free.
