Duddles completes undergrad studies

Brent Duddles, 2013 valedictorian from Suttons Bay High School, is scheduled to graduate Dec. 16 summa cum laude from Eastern Michigan University (EMU).

Duddles earned highest honors while working toward a bachelor’s degree in secondary education mathematics with an earth science minor.

While at EMU he studied in Washington, D.C., northern Michigan, western Maryland, and abroad.

Duddles was elected vice president and president of an honors residence hall, helped found Eastern’s club golf team, worked as a student fellow, and represented EMU’s interest before state legislators in Lansing.Duddles has been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

He plans to move to Hawaii for six months to work in business and then attend law school in the fall of 2018.

Brent is the son of Brian and Teresa Duddles of Suttons Bay.
