Members of the Leelanau Community Choir had a busy weekend, performing holiday concerts in front of packed houses at churches across the county.

The choir performed its “Merrily We Sing Noel!” concert Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Leland, Sunday afternoon at Suttons Bay Congregational Church, and Sunday evening at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Glen Arbor.

The group always attracts strong turnouts at its holiday concerts, but one member commented that she had never seen so many seats filled at all three venues.

The group was directed by local musician Jonah Powell. The piano accompanist was Jodie Schanhals.
