HOCKEY TOWN

NEIGHBORHOOD VOLUNTEERS gathered at the Suttons Bay Ice Rink Park on Broadway and Lincoln streets Sunday to unroll a giant plastic tarp used to keep water from soaking into the ground. Group leader Bill Perkins said the rink will be flooded and frozen for skating just as soon as weather permits. The plastic tarp has been in use for many years and will need to be replaced next year because of many rips and holes, Perkins added.
