Town or township of residence: Bingham Township

Resident since: My parents brought me home from the hospital in 1999.

Age and birthplace: 18 and Munson Hospital, Traverse City.

Occupation: Full-time student at Northwestern Michigan College and shampoo girl at Pure Essence Salon in Traverse City.

Marital status: I’m a single mother of three precious cats.

You live in Leelanau County because: My dad moved here to raise his family because of how wonderful the area is.

Last good movie you saw: “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” a classic Christmas movie that will never get old.

Last good book you read: It wasn’t a very “good” book by any means, but the most recent one I read was my Macroeconomics textbook. It wasn’t much fun.

If you could trade places with one person for one day, it would be: Rihanna, because she can truly make anything look good while showing off her new Fenton Beauty line. She’s a queen!

Things important to you that you’ve accomplished so far: With my first semester of college now over, I’m proud to have survived it alongside both longtime friends and the wonderful new people I’ve met along the way, all while continuing to play my favorite sport: volleyball.

What you hope to be doing in ten years: I hope to be working with animals in some way and living on the lake with my army of cats and my chef husband.

Things you lose sleep over: All responsibilities, so pretty much being an adult.

If you could change one thing in Leelanau County it would be: The price of housing. Since most young families aren’t able to afford places out here, our schools are hit hard by drops in enrollment.

Favorite dessert: Tres Leches Cake, my mom makes it the best, hands down!

Are you a coffee drinker? Yes! I am a coffee addict nowadays, thanks to college.

Favorite place in Leelanau County: Pyramid Point, the lookout is absolutely amazing.

If you had more time you would: Probably sleep more; I haven’t gotten much of that because of school and work.

The words that best describe you are: Positive, spunky and fabulous.
