2:18 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller was heading north when white Ford Escape in southbound lane went into the ditch. Driver is OK.

1:50 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Snowmobile trailer has door open with 4-wheeler inside.

3:26 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Subject walking by residence and heard alarm going off.

4:28 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Frozen sprinkler head reported.

6:19 p.m. — Bingham Township — Business owner seeking help to locate the owner of a vehicle that has been parked in commercial lot for three days. Wants to avoid having it towed if possible.

6:32 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — BATA bus reporting single vehicle may have “hit a light pole.” They did not stop.

7:36 p.m.— Bingham Township — Son was involved in a minor wreck. Now insurance wants report.

7:39 p.m. — Empire Township — Green Ford Taurus off the road in the ditch. No one around.

10:31 p.m. — Empire Township — Car has crashed into caller’s yard. No injuries.

Thursday, Dec. 28

9:17 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Vehicle in the ditch.

12:23 p.m. — Leland Township — Motor vehicle rollover accident.

2:02 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller hears dog barking. Older black lab tied outside of house. Caller does not see a dog house.

3:19 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Deputy out with an American Waste truck having engine problems. Tow is on the way.

3:21 p.m. — Bingham Township — Gray Toyota SUV in ditch.

Friday, Dec. 29

11:24 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller reports a dog in a plastic crate. Concerned because of temperatures in the teens. Dog was found in the house and well taken care of.

12:21 p.m. — Solon Township — Larceny.

2:47 a.m. — Centerville Township — Oncoming vehicle crossed the center line and hit caller’s vehicle before driving off. Did not stop after collision. White mini-van.

2:51 p.m. — Empire Township — Deputy out with two snowmobilers who crashed.

3:30 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White sedan off the roadway into the ditch. Someone in the vehicle.

4:23 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller reports a 2-year-old locked in vehicle. Not running. Tow truck was en route but a State Police trooper was able to car unlocked before truck arrived.

5 p.m. — Bingham Township — Driver advises she went off the road and hit a road sign. Now she’s stuck in someone’s yard.

5:31 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Dark, four-door sedan is swerving all over the road, varying speeds.

5:47 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Three vehicles in the ditch at Herman Road and Co. Rd. 633.

7:09 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Gentleman lying on the side of the road and he refuses to give caller an address to take him to. Deputy turned drunk male over to family.

8:16 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller is northbound on M-22 in a line of cars. Car in front is swerving all over the road. Driving on the wrong side of road.

Saturday, Dec. 30

10:38 a.m. — Kasson Township — Snowmobilers trespassing all morning from property to the north onto caller’s at power lines. Property is not posted.

10:57 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Kia Sorrento partially in roadway.

11 a.m. — Kasson Township — Disorderly person.

12:10 p.m. — Leland Township — Silver Cadillac at the side of road. Caller is concerned that the subject should have their flashers on since the visibility is poor.

3:22 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Call transferred from Grand Traverse Dispatch. Woman intentionally ditched her Lincoln MKZ because she couldn’t see where she was going. Drive has been “rescued” and she is arranging her own wrecker.

3:40 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller couldn’t see in whiteout conditions. Crossed over M-72 and “plugged” his vehicle firmly into the snowbank. Requests assistance with a tow.

3:56 p.m. — Solon Township — Deputy out with vehicle in the ditch. They have help coming. Law enforcement standing by with lights.

4:44 p.m. — Bingham Township — Law enforcement out with vehicle blocking the roadway.

5:32 p.m. — Solon Township — AAA wants a welfare check on an elderly female that was stuck in the ditch. They called a wrecker for her but have since lost contact and tow driver wants to know if she’s OK.

5:44 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Unoccupied Cadillac sitting in the middle of Lakeview Hills Road west of Co. Rd. 633.

6:45 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller advised she left her vehicle on the side of the road near Hoxie and Bugai Road and was too afraid to driver it any further.

10:51 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Vehicle abandoned on E. Harry’s Road just off M-72.

10:59 p.m. — Solon Township — Vehicle abandoned on M-72 between Lautner and Solon roads.

Sunday, Dec. 31

12: 25 a.m. — Bingham Township — Deputy out with vehicle that appears to be stuck on E. Shady Lane near S. Center Hwy.

9:35 a.m. — Solon Township — Deputy out with an occupied vehicle in the ditch.

11:09 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller went in the ditch last night. Called a tow truck and didn’t realize he needed a report. There is damage.

1:15 p.m. — Leland Township — Slick spot on the road. Caller has seen three vehicles go into the ditch.

8:52 p.m. — Leelanau Township — ATV stuck in the ditch.

10:19 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Disorderly person.

Monday, Jan. 1

12:04 a.m. — Village of Northport —Voices in the background. No sounds of an emergency. People saying, “Happy New Year.” Accidental dial.

2:13 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Two people lying in the snowbank on Jacobson Road. Upon deputy arrival subjects were gone. Will be on the lookout for individuals on foot.

3:48 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller got into an argument with girlfriend and is now stranded in the cold with nowhere to go.

7:29 a.m. — Empire Township — Vehicle in the ditch. Subject operating while intoxicated.

8:19 a.m. — Kasson Township — Neighbor trouble.

10:43 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Disorderly person. Very drunk. Asked to leave the establishment.

12:03 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Dark SUV in the ditch. No one around.

2:39 p.m. — Cleveland Township — One-car rollover on M-22 south of Townline Road. No injuries.

5:42 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Family trouble.

6:41 p.m.— Elmwood Township — Neighbor is plowing snow into caller’s yard. Making it difficult for him. Snow was not actually in his yard but when the Road Commission plows go by. They push the snow there. It is not an enforceable situation per deputy.
