Public Notices For Leelanau County

Michigan law requires local governments to inform their citizenry through public notices published in newspapers of record for their communities. Synopsis of December 13, 2017 Board Meeting Minutes

The Suttons Bay Township Board held its regular meeting on December 13, 2017.

Present: Supervisor Bahle, Clerk VanHuystee, Treasurer Hartsveldt, Trustees Nixon and Slocombe.

Reports received - Treasurer, Planning and Zoning, and Parks and Recreation. Previous meeting minutes were approved, approval of budget amendment and authorization received to pay the bills.

Library Gala held on Dec. 9 was a success with 130 people attending. Reviewed Monitoring Host Compliance Contract for short term rentals, and authorized the Treasurer to sign the Contract if answers to questions asked were satisfactory. Approved the 2018 Calendar Year Meeting Schedule. Information presented regarding applying for Township Excellence Award.

Reappointments to ZBA, Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Committee will be made at a future meeting.

Notice is hereby given that at its regular meeting of November 13, 2017, the Kasson Township Board of Trustees adopted Ordinance #2017-02, commonly referred to as an amendment to the Kasson Township Nuisance Ordinance #2014-01. The Ordinance becomes effective 30-days upon publication of this notice. A true copy of the Ordinance Amendment is available for inspection by appointment at the Township Hall. Contact any Township Board Member or Clerk, Traci Cruz, 231- 883-1366 for appointments. Copies may also be obtained from the Township website at www.leelanau.cc/kassontwpord. asp.

A summation of the Ordinance is as follows:

Glen Arbor Township Board Regular Meeting

November 21, 2017 Minutes Synopsis

Township Supervisor, Peter Van Nort, called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM in the Glen Arbor Town Hall meeting room. All board members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The agenda was presented with additions and modifications and approved. The minutes of the 10/17/17 Regular Meeting were approved as presented. The minutes of the 11/1/2017 Fisher Lake SAD Public Hearing were presented and approved. Public Comments: Rob Karner reported the Leelanau County Commission approval to trap and relocate the Common Merganser on the lakes in Leelanau County. The Treasurer reported 11/21/17 cash on hand-$2,283,713.56. The Park Construction Fund is $661,811.15. General Fund: Expenses $10,619.67, Payroll $15,584.91. Emergency Services: Expenses $39,089.29. Payroll $68,952.18. Both General Fund payroll and expenses and Emergency Services payroll and expenses were approved to be paid by motion. All expenses and financial statements have been reviewed and approved by ESAC. Emergency Services Advisory Commission Report: Roy Pentilla. Fire Chief Operations Report: Bob Wurst. The Zoning Administrators Report: submitted in writing. The Monthly Assessors Report: submitted in writing. The correspondence was reviewed and accepted as presented. Unfinished business: Report from the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail feasibility study, LED Sign. New business: Resignation of a Park Commission member, Watershed Protection Project, Tribe 2% request, car wash by Young Life Organization, Parking Project. The Planning Commission Report: John Peppler. Public Comments: None. Board Member Comments: None. Supervisor Comments: The Park Construction is moving forward.
