Age and birthplace: I am 36 years old and I was born at Munson Hospital.

Occupation: I work in the Department of Public Works for the Village of Suttons Bay.

Marital status: Taken. I currently have a girlfriend.

You live in Leelanau County because: It’s where both of my parents were raised and I love everything about this area.

Last good movie you saw: I don’t really watch movies since it’s difficult to read the character’s lips or keep up with subtitles.

Last good book you read: I don’t have enough time to read these days.

If you could trade places with one person for one day, it would be: My sister, Lindsey, who lives in Florida.

Things important to you that you’ve accomplished so far: I’m really glad that I’m so involved in the community. I’ve got some great friends and love helping out at different sporting events.

Things you lose sleep over: My friends, at least when they keep me out really late.

If you could change one thing in Leelanau County it would be: I’d make housing more affordable because I know that the cost of living here affects a lot of people.

Favorite dessert: Whiskey Cake from Diane Joyce

Are you a coffee drinker? Yes. I drink it often and with cream.

Favorite place in Leelanau County: North Bar Lake in Empire

If you had more time you would: I’ve always wanted to take a woodworking class. After that, I’d spend a lot of time building different things.

The words that best describe you are: I'm not sure how I would describe myself, but Becky Kaspben, a bartender at V.I. Grill, says that I am empathetic, intelligent, and a hard-worker.
