Centerville Township Notice To The Public

Synopsis of Regular Bd. Meeting for January 10, 2018 held at the Solon Township Hall. Board members Schwantes, Wurm, Pleva, Hubbell, & Schaub were present. No Land Use Permits and no Land Divisions were issued in December, 25 total for the calendar year 2017. Board members accepted a change order for Easling Construction bid not to exceed $130K to upgrade the Centerville Township Hall. Board members appointed Nolan Wurm (Alternate) to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a 3-year term to expire December 31, 2020. Resolution to collect 2018 summer taxes for Leland Schools at $2.50/parcel was adopted by board members. Grant Application with the Michigan Secretary of State was approved for new voting equipment with estimated costs to the township of $3,000 and the remainder covered by the grant. The next PC meeting will be January 22nd, 2018 at 6:30 pm at the Solon Twp Hall. PC meetings will be held the 4th Monday of each month starting at 6:30 pm. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Wed., February 21, 2018 at the Solon Twp Hall at 7 pm. Draft minutes are available on the Twp. website at www.leelanau.cc or by request at 228-7663. Suttons Bay Village Council Notice

Synopsis of Suttons Bay Village Council Regular meeting of January 16, 2018.

Regular meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m., by President Lutke. Quorum present.

Present: Bahle, Case, Christensen, Egan, Hylwa, Lutke and Suppes.

Council approved the Agenda as amended, the Consent Agenda, and the minutes of December 18, 2017.

Council adopted the Dismantled Inoperable Vehicle Ordinance Amendment, as amended and corrected.

Council approved the 2018 Council Rules of Procedures, as amended.

Council accepted the January 5, 2018, proposal from Hallsten in the amount of $133,500.00, to install two insulated covers on the WWTP clarifiers.

Council appointed Randy U’Ren to a Planning Commission, Donna Popke to a Zoning Board of Appeal, and Amy Peterson to a Downtown Development Authority, to terms from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020.

Council supported a resolution recommending approval to the MLCC for applicant Le Bos LLC, to have a second on premise license at Hop Lot.

Council approved the payment of bills as presented by Treasurer DeVol.

The meeting adjourned at 5:57 p.m.

VILLAGE OF SUTTONS BAY

LEELANAU COUNTY, MICHIGAN

NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ADOPTION AND SYNOPSIS OF ORDINANCE

PUBLIC NOTICE IS GIVEN that at a regular meeting held on January 16, 2018 the Village Council of the Village of Suttons Bay adopted Ordinance No. 1 of 2018 entitled:

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 1, 2, 3, 5, AND 6 OF ORDINANCE NO. 8 of 2004, ENTITLED “AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT THE OPEN STORAGE OF CERTAIN VEHICLES, TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONS, TO DECLARE OPEN STORAGE OF CERTAIN VEHICLES A NUISANCE AND TO PROVIDE ENFORCEMENT THROUGH MUNICIPAL CIVIL INFRACTIONS”

The effect of Ordinance No. 1 of 2018 is summarized as follows:

Section 1. Provides amendment to Section 1 for relevant definitions under the Ordinance.

Section 2. Provides amendment to Section 2 prohibition for the storage of inoperable or unregistered vehicles or boats.

Section 3. Provides amendment to Section 3 for the declaration of a nuisance.

Section 4. Provides amendment to Section 5 which sets out enforcement and penalties for violations of the Ordinance.

Section 5. Provides amendment to Section 6, 7, 8 Civil Infraction, that any portion of the Ordinance found to be invalid by a Court does not affect the validity of the remainder of the Ordinance, States that the Ordinance shall become effective twenty (20) days after a synopsis of the Ordinance is published in a newspaper of general circulation within the Village.

Bingham Township Notice

Synopsis of Bingham Township Regular Board Meeting of January 15, 2018

Meeting called to order by Supervisor Werner. Board members present: Midge Werner, Brad Saxton, Sandy Grant, Gary McGhee, and Kathy Morio. Agenda approved. The Regular Board meeting minutes of December 18, 2017 were approved. Adopted a resolution to enter into a grant agreement with the State of Michigan for new election equipment. Accepted the Assessors quarterly report. Approved payroll and vendor balance. Meeting adjourned at approximately 7:40 pm. A complete copy of the minutes can be reviewed at the Township office or on the Township website.
