The Rink and Morio families were honored by St. Mary Catholic Church for service to their community.

Family members were feted while St. Mary School celebrated its 46th annual Sweetheart Dinner Saturday at the Leland Lodge.

Bernie Rink of Boskydel Vineyards was recognized for his generosity over the past 30 years, while Denny and Kathy Morio were honored for their service. Rink and the Morios are residents of Bingham Township.

Rink and his five sons have supplied St. Mary Church along with St. Wenceslaus and St. Michael’s with wine since Boskydel vintages were ready. The Rev. Charles Donajkowski was pastor at the time.

Over the years Rink has donated nearly 450 cases of wine to St. Mary alone for sacramental use.
