Empire Lions club to serve pancakes

The Empire Lions Club will host a pancake breakfast at the Empire Town Hall Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon. Funds will be used for Lions Club community projects and college scholarships, leader dogs for the blind, Eversight Michigan and international sight, hearing and diabetes programs.

Track, snowshoe at Teichner Preserve

An off-trail snowshoe hike under the heading, “Tracking Animal Tracks,” will be held at the Teichner Preserve on Lime Lake Sunday starting at 1 p.m. Docents will also touch on the history of Teichner Preserve and how glaciers impacted its landscape.

Best Yet Variety Show in Leland

County seniors will take the stage demonstrating what we all know : Leelanau’s got talent. Enjoy local poets, musicians and vocalist in the fun-filled event sponsored by Leelanau County Senior Services and ShareCare of Leland.

Admission is free today at the Old Art Building for the 2 p.m. show.
