MORTGAGE SALE - Default has been made in the conditions of a mortgage made by Scott A. Foster and Karin E. Foster, husband and wife, to Fifth Third Mortgage - MI, LLC, Mortgagee, dated March 2, 2005 and recorded March 14, 2005 in Liber 845, Page 967. Solon Township Board Notice

Meeting Minutes Synopsis For 02/08/2018

Supervisor Lautner opened the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

All Board members were present.

Twelve guests were present.

The following actions were taken by the Board:

Approved the agenda with additions.

Approved the regular meeting minutes from 01/11/2018 as written.

Approved the Treasurer’s report and payment of vouchers.

Approved payment to J.E. Tiffany and Sons in the amount of $4,462.00 and to send check within 15 days of receipt of partial preliminary plans for Vlack’s Pond Stream Crossing and Road Project.

Adopted a resolution to authorize Consumer’s Energy Company to make changes in the lighting service as provided in the Standard Lighting Contract between the Company and the Township of Solon, dated 3/17/1997 in accordance with the Authorization for Change in Standard Lighting Contract dated 2/8/2018 and that the Clerk be and is authorized to execute such authorization for change on the behalf of the Township.

Approved to appoint Edie Glynn as the Planning Commission representative to the Parks and Recreation Committee for a one-year term.

Approved to authorize the sale of the 1984 brush truck and the 1986 back up tanker under the terms of the Interlocal Fire Department Agreement Articles 5.3.4 and 7.1.3 the funds from the sale will be deposited in the Capital Improvement Fund on behalf of Solon and Centerville Townships.

Approved the additional office space at the Cedar Fire Station provided Solon Township receives a drawing of the changes proposed to the Cedar Fire Station.

Adopted by resolution the 2018-2019 salaries as follows: Supervisor $10,000, Treasurer-$15,300, Clerk--$15,800 and Trustees-$100 per meeting.

Adopted by resolution to hold the Annual Meeting at the Solon Township Hall on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

The budget workshop meeting is scheduled to begin at the conclusion of the regular board meeting on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Approved the meeting schedule for the Fiscal Year 2018-2019.

Approved the Property Use Agreement for Sports League Activities for the Brian’s Memorial Tournament with Rich Nachazel being the applicant for the use of the ball fields on February 24, 2018 and February 25, 2018.

Approved Mary Taylor to submit a grant application to the Health Department of Northwest Michigan for playground equipment and continue the application process for a grant from Michigan Masonic.

Leland Township Board Meeting

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Susan Och, with Clerk Jane Keen, Treasurer Shirley Garthe and Trustee Michael Collins, and 2 guests present. The agenda was approved. The following board action was taken:

1. The Board considered a FOIA request appeal submitted by Mr. Keith Denoyer. A motion to deny the appeal was approved. The Board considered a FOIA request appeal of fees charged. A motion to deny the appeal of fees was approved.

Elmwood Township Planning Commission Notice Of Public Hearing

A Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. before the Elmwood Charter Township Planning Commission to consider the proposed Township Master Plan.

Suttons Bay Village Council Notice

Synopsis of Suttons Bay Village Council Regular meeting of February 19, 2018.

Regular meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m., by President Lutke. Quorum present.

Present: Bahle, Case, Christensen, Egan, Hylwa, Lutke and Suppes

Council approved the payment of bills as presented by Treasurer DeVol.

Council approved the Investment Policy as presented. The new policy allows options for different sorts of investments in pools and in Michigan Class.

Council authorized Fleis and Vandenbrink to initiate design engineering and to complete and submit DEQ and Army Corp. permit applications for Phase II of the Coal Dock Armoring Project, for a fee not to exceed $18,500.00.

Meeting called to order by Supervisor Werner.

Agenda Approved.

The Regular Board meeting minutes of January 15, 2018 were approved.

Proclaim April as Social Host Responsibility Month, a request from Up North Prevention, proclamation moved by S. Grant, supported by G. McGhee.

Approved Kara Gregory as the new S. Bay/Bingham Library Board member, a 4-year term.

Approved to enter into an easement at Boughey Park with Cherryland Electric, for relocating some electric lines, if approved by Park & Rec. committee.

Approved payroll and vendor balance.

Meeting adjourned at approximately 7:35 pm.
