January 16, 2018 Minutes
Synopsis
Township Supervisor, Peter Van Nort,
called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm in
the Glen Arbor Town Hall meeting room.
All board members were present. The
Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The
agenda was presented with additions
and modifications and approved. The
minutes of the 12/19/2017 Regular
Meeting were approved as presented.
Public Comments: Bill Merserve, Glen
Lake Association – Watershed
Protection Plan. Michelle Aucello, Day
Forest Road – she is in favor of a new
ice skating rink. The Treasurer reported
01/16/18 cash on hand - $2,505,994.92.
Expenses $22,402.36, Payroll
$21,858.41. Emergency Services:
Expenses $35,709.67, Payroll
$72,505.56. Both General Fund payroll
and expenses and Emergency Services
payroll and expenses were approved to
be paid by motion. Aaron Brown was
sworn in as Lieutenant. Nate Perdue
was appointed Safety Officer.

Chief Operations Report: Chief Dodson.
The Zoning Administrators Report: submitted in writing. The Monthly Assessors

Centerville Township Notice To The Public

Synopsis of Regular Bd. Meeting for
February 21, 2018 held at the Solon
Township Hall. Board members
Schwantes, Wurm, Pleva, Hubbell, &
Schaub were present. 1 Land Use
Permits and no Land Divisions were
issued in January. The zoning administrator contract with Tim Cypher was
renewed for 2 years to expire March 31,
2020. Board members adopted a Road
Policy, which identified 5 road projects
in the township. Salary resolutions are
being proposed for the supervisor at
$10,200, and the clerk & treasurer at
$15,800 each. The PC meeting will be
held February 26th, 2018 at 6:30 pm at
the Solon Twp Hall. The next PC meeting will be held on March 26th, 2018 at
6:30 pm at the Centerville Twp Hall. The
next regular board meeting is scheduled
for Wed., March 14, 2018 at the Solon
Twp Hall at 7 pm. Draft minutes are

Meeting Minutes
The Suttons Bay Township Board held
its regular meeting on February 14, 2018.
Present: Supervisor Bahle, Clerk
VanHuystee, Treasurer Hartsveldt,
Trustees Nixon and Slocombe
Reports received - Treasurer,
Planning and Zoning, and Parks and
Recreation. Previous meeting minutes
were approved and authorization was
received to pay the bills.
Approved giving Treasurer authority
to strike 2011-2012 delinquent personal
property taxes from the books and
authorized a check to Leelanau County
Circuit Court for filing of Petition to strike
2011-2012 delinquent personal property
taxes and relief from statutory responsibility to collect them. Discussed
Township Excellence Award. Spring
Clean Up Day – Suttons Bay and
Bingham Townships, Saturday, May 19,
2018, from 9 am to 12 noon at Road
Commission property. Approved salary
resolutions for Supervisor, Clerk,
Treasurer and two Trustees.
Consensus of Parks & Recreation to
hire someone to do grant writing, etc.
Appointed Pete Ostrowski to the ZBA,
and Gary DeVol to Parks and
Recreation. Approved contract with
Networks Northwest for planning services thru June 30, 2018.

Budget Hearing
As required by MCL 141.412, a
Public Hearing will be held on the proposed 2018-19 budget, at the Leelanau
Community Cultural Center (Old Art
Building) 111 S. Main Street, Leland, MI
49654. The Budget Hearing will be part
of the Annual Meeting on Saturday,
March 24, 2018 that will begin at 10:00
am.
As required by the Truth in Budgeting
