Once again if you didn’t set your clocks ahead on Sunday, your’re early.

This is the time of year that there is very little going on in our area. However on Saturday, St. Patty’s day, the annual Glen Arbor Pub Crawl will begin at Art’s Bar at 3 p.m., crawl from there to Boone Docks and Western Avenue Grill, and crawl back to Art’s by about 6 p.m. where there will be music. The odor of corned beef and cabbage will be wafting through the air all over town.

The snow is supposed to be going away this time of year. I don’t normally give advice, but don’t put away the snow shovel.

Join others for unstructured work time in the GAAC’s classroom on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The studio will be open to visual artists of any ability looking for a place to work temporarily. There is no charge. Call 334-6112 for more information.

I know this is going to be good news to some and bad news to others, but Time’s Money Magazine has selected Michigan’s Glen Arbor as one of its places to visit in 2018. We came in at No. 4 out of 10 of the US locations selected. Glen Arbor was touted as the perfect spot for “quiet sunbather enthusiasts.” Because of the town’s proximity to Glen Lake and Sleeping Bear Bay, Glen Arbor represents “the best of Northern Michigan.” Say it loud and say it proud.
