Public Notices For Leelanau County

Michigan law requires local governments to inform their citizenry through public notices published in newspapers of record for their communities. Notices that can be found in Section Three of this week’s Leelanau Enterprise include:

 Kasson Township March Board of Review Appeals, March Board of Review will remain open until March 21, 2018. If a taxpayer is unable to present an appeal on March 12th or 13th, the taxpayer shall submit a written appeal via US mail or via e-mail and must be received by the assessor on or before March 21st at 12 noon.

 Leland Township zoning board of appeals will hold a public hearing Wed. April 11 at 7 pm. Continued discussion regarding conditions placed on KAR2, LLC request for a variance from Zoning Ordinance Section 24.10.1.c. Thomas Earwood & Leroy Trifilio request a variance from Zoning Ordinance Section 11.02.D.2. Soul Squeeze Cellars, LLC., acting as the agent for Doug & Janine Fierberg, request a variance from the Leland Township Zoning Ordinance to allow for a 4.24’ variance in the standards of Section 21.04.E.

Leland Township Zoning Board Of Appeals

1. Continued discussion regarding conditions placed on KAR2, LLC request for a variance from Zoning Ordinance Section 24.10.1.c, Sensitive Lands, for a 10 foot reduction of the required 40-foot stream setback to accommodate a proposed single family dwelling and a 21.2 foot reduction related to the associated driveway. Suttons Bay Village Notice

Synopsis of Suttons Bay Village Council Special meeting of March 8, 2018.

Special meeting called to order at 8:00 a.m., by President Lutke. Quorum present.

Present: Bahle, Case, Christensen, Egan, Hylwa, Lutke and Suppes.

Council approved Resolution 001 of 2018, Michigan Department of Transportation – Transportation Alternatives Program Grant, with an affirmative unanimous roll call vote.

The meeting adjourned at 8:10 a.m.
