Great time to enjoy ice, snow, etc.

I know everyone will agree with me that living in northern Michigan is great. We can enjoy the beaches, the lakes, the hills, all the beautiful trees and get outdoors to enjoy life.

Wait a minute, where are we? Oh well, those days will come. Now we get to enjoy ice, snow, cold, wind, rain and sleet. What fun!

Normally this time year you hear hammers, leaf blowers cleaning the yards and roads, in general spring cleaning and getting ready for the season. Maybe in May.

I’d like to report exhibits and openings for the Glen Arbor Artists Association, however I’m not sure that they will be happening when scheduled.

One thing that will be happening is Glen Lake Restaurant Week, April 28 until May 6. Many restaurants will be offering an array of dining options from French fries to French cuisine. Reservations is a must for many restaurants to enjoy a unique and mouthwatering experience. Participating establishments will offer appetizing three-course dinner menus for $30. Some may be offering lunch specials as well. Once again the participating restaurants are Art's Tavern, Blu, Funistrada, The Homestead, La Becasse, Little Traverse Inn, The Manor on Glen Lake, Riverfront Pizza and Specialties, and Western Avenue Grill.

Happy anniversary wishes to Lynn and Jim Becker. And better late than never to Karen and John Soderholm. All the best to both couples.

Happy birthday wishes Jacob Wheeler, Dawn Newman, Pat Taghon, Ron Fornowski, Fred Schubert, Christine Neiswonger, Shelley Yeager, Vicki Baxter, James Buchanan and a late birthday wish to Dick Kay.

Not much else going on at this time. Unfortunately, hunker down, stay dry and stay warm, stay safe.
