SUTTONS BAY wildlife artist Chris Smith and Governor Rick Snyder hold up the 2018 governor’s edition Michigan duck stamp print inside the governor’s office in Lansing on Monday. Smith won the 2018 Michigan Duck Stamp Competition, adding to his 2016, 2014 and 2005 titles. The 2018 print will be hung in the governor’s office. “I said I want it right behind his desk,” Smith said. “They assured me that might not happen.” Proceeds from the sale of governor’s edition stamps will be used to benefit the Michigan Duck Hunters Association for wetland habitat restoration.
