 Centerville Township zoning planning commission is having a public hearing on Tuesday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Chateau Fontaine requests to have Winery activity and events associated with the promotion of wine usage and education.

 Elmwood Township board will consider the adoption of a zoning ordinance amendment to allow Special Event Facilities in certain zoning districts with a special use permit.

 Leland Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on May 22 at 7 p.m. to continue discussion regarding conditions placed on KAR2, LLC request for a variance and Thomas Earwood & Leroy Trifilio request a variance rom Zoning Ordinance Section 11.02.D.2.

 Elmwood Township Board will consider the adoption an Ordinance Addressing Floodplain Management Provisions of the State Construction Code. The board will consider this amendment at the meeting to be held on May 14 at 6 p.m.

Solon Township Board Notice

Meeting Minutes
Synopsis For 04/12/2018

Supervisor Lautner opened the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

All Board members were present.

Twenty one guests were present.

The following actions were taken by the Board:

Approved the agenda with an addition.

Approved the regular meeting minutes and the budget meeting minutes from 03/08/2018 as written.

Adopted the Solon Township Budget for fiscal year 2018-2019.

Approved to amend the 2017-2018 Budget by transferring funds from the General Fund to pay all line items that went over their budgeted amounts.

Approved the Treasurer’s report and payment of vouchers.

Approved to appoint John DePuy as the fifth member at large of the Cedar Area Fire & Rescue Fire Board.

Approved to release the ladder truck owned by Solon and Centerville Townships to Payette.

Approved to accept the lowest cost estimate for the Belanger Road Roadside/Sidewalk Improvements and to have this project get on the list.

Approved to schedule a Public Hearing for the Cedar Cove Estates at the regular board meeting on Thursday, May 3, 2018 to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Approved to move the regular board meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 3, 2018 to Thursday May 17, 2018.

Approved amended motion to schedule a Public Hearing for the Cedar Cove Estates at the regular board meeting on Thursday, May 17, 2018 to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Approved the Property Lease Agreement with the Cedar Chamber of Commerce for the use of the Tennis Courts from June 11 – June 27, 2018 and the use of Diamond #2 June 20 and June 21, 2018 for the Cedar Polka Fest.

Approved to have Jim Demoulpied comply with the Solon Township Zoning Ordinance by submitting an application to the Zoning Board of Appeals by May 17, 2018 to obtain a variance.

Approved to enter into an agreement with the Leelanau County Road Commission who will perform improvements to Popa Road with an estimated cost of $85,400.00. Solon Township agrees pay 50% of the estimated cost for a total amount of $42,700.00.

Approved the Property Use Agreement for Sports League Activities for the Cedar Softball CO-ED League with Sarah Zywicki being the applicant for the use of the ball fields from May 1, 2018 – September 11, 2018.

The descendant, Jacqueline H. Leonard, who was born on February 8, 1930, died on April 7, 2018.

The decedent created the Leonard Family Trust on December 7, 2012. There is no personal representative of the decedent’s estate to whom Letters of Administration have been issued.

Creditors of the decedent are notified that all claims against the trust estate as amended will be forever barred unless presented to Edward C. Harris, Trustee of the Leonard Family Trust within 4 months after the date of publication of this notice.

Bingham Township Special Meeting Notice

Salary Resolutions for 2018-2019

Salary Resolutions must be adopted at least 30 days prior to an Annual Meeting. The Bingham Township Annual Meeting has been scheduled for June 18, 2018, 5:30 pm at the Township Hall. The Township Board will meet at a special meeting on May 7, 2018 to adopt the recommended salary resolutions for each officer, to be presented at the Annual Meeting for discussion and approval.
