The Crane Wives to rock Suttons Bay

The Friends of Fine Arts at Suttons Bay Public Schools (FOFA) will present “The Crane Wives,” a popular Michigan folk group, tomorrow at Suttons Bay Public School. The event represents the finale of FOFA’s Winter Concert Series. Tomorrow’s folksy tunes will begin at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $16 for adults and $12 for students. Proceeds fund the district’s fine arts programs.

Authors share at Writers Roundtable

The Leelanau Historical Society is inviting writers of all types to attend a Writers Roundtable: From Pen to Print, hosted by the Leelanu Historical Society. The event will begin Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the museum. Four local authors will share tips, tricks, first-hand experiences and in a casual panel style format. Celebrating spring with asparagus

The quirky Empire Asparagus Festival will kick off its 15th year tomorrow at 7 p.m. with a dance, pig roast and an old fashioned Great Lakes fish boil. Weekend activities include a 5k fun run and walk, poetry contest, food and drink vendors, musical entertainment and more.
