Public Notices For Leelanau County

Michigan law requires local governments to inform their citizenry through public notices published in newspapers of record for their communities. These notices provide residents with an easy path for following the work of their elected officials. Public notices for Leelanau County can also be accessed online at Leelanaunews.com.

 Solon Township board regular meeting synopsis for May 17.

 The Suttons Bay Township Board of Review will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17 to address Mutual Mistakes and Clerical Errors.

Suttons Bay Village Notice

Synopsis of Suttons Bay Village Council Regular meeting of May 21, 2018.

Regular meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m., by President Lutke. Quorum present.

Present: Bahle, Case, Christensen, Egan, Hylwa, Lutke and Suppes.

Council approved payment of bills as presented by Treasurer DeVol.

Council approved the Village Council Regular meeting minutes of April 16, 2018, as presented by Fay.

Council approved the amendment of Property Replacement expense line item 402-974 Capital Expenditures, from $0 to $30,000, changing the overall expense from $57,100 to $87,100, for the purpose of updating the Village accounting software program.

Council approved the May 15, 2018, Contract Amendment #2, submitted by Gosling Czubak for professional services, in the amount of $20,100.00, for Marina Project Engineering.

Council approved the Michigan Department of Transportation Contract # 18-5200, between the Village of Suttons Bay and Michigan Department of Transportation, for the purpose of fixing the rights and obligations of parties, for Village streetscape enhancement work along St. Joseph Avenue (M-22) from Grove Street to Broadway, and to authorize the Village Manager and/or President to execute Contract #18- 5200.

Council approved the appointment of Sandra Boone to the Suttons Bay Bingham District Library Board of Directors, as a representative for the Village of Suttons Bay, to a four-year term beginning May of 2018 and ending May of 2022.

Solon Township Board Notice

Meeting Minutes

Synopsis For 5/17/2018

Supervisor Lautner opened the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance

All Board members were present.

Thirty six guests were present.

The following actions were taken by the Board:

Approved the agenda with an addition.

Approved the regular meeting minutes 04/12/2018 as written.

Approved the Treasurer’s report and payment of vouchers.

Approved to close the regular meeting and open the Public Hearing for Cedar Cove Estates at 7:29 p.m.

Approved to close the Public Hearing for Cedar Cove Estates at 8:07 p.m.

Approved to reconvene the regular board meeting at 8:07 p.m.

On a voice vote approved the Cedar Cove Estates Planned Residential Development with the following five (5) conditions: 1. The Planning Commission and Township Board will be able to view and approve the Master Deed and Association By-Laws prior to final approval. 2. Subject to approval from the Soil Erosion Office. 3. Verify all regulatory agencies approval before land use permit is issued. 4. Developer to achieve approval from the Fire Chief regarding cistern timing and well use. 5. Paved surface to be maintained year round. The conditions are in reference to the Solon Township Planning Commission findings sheet Rev#2 dated: March 1, 2018.

Approved closing the road from 9059 Nelson Street to Summer Street from 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 until 12

Noon Sunday, August 5, 2018

Approved to appoint Susan Baatz as the Solon Township Assessor from April 1, 2018 – March 31, 2019

Approved the Property Use Agreement for Sports League Activities for the Tournament with Adam Fewins being the applicant for the use of the ball fields on June 23 and June 24, 2018

The Settlor, Mary J. Siddall DOB: 2/15/1932 SSN: xxx-xx-6746, who lived at Effie’s Place, 300 Grand Avenue, Room 6, Leland, Michigan died 5/16/2018. There is no personal representative of the settlor’s estate to whom Letters of Administration have been issued.

Creditors of the decedent are notified that all claims against the Mary J. Siddall Trust dated 2/11/1993 (as amended), will be forever banned unless presented to Plante Moran Trust and John Siddall Trustee(s) with in 4 months after the date of publication.
