The Village of Northport Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) will conduct a Public Hearing at a special meeting to be held on Friday, July 20, 2018. This Public Hearing will occur at the Village Hall located at 116 Nagonaba Street at 1:00 p.m. The Public Hearing is for the purpose of hearing a request by Shirley DeVrou estate for a variance of the Village Zoning Ordinance Article X. SUTTONS BAY TOWNSHIP – Synopsis of June 13, 2018 Board Meeting Minutes

The Suttons Bay Township Board held its regular meeting on June 13, 2018.

Present: Supervisor Bahle, Clerk VanHuystee, Treasurer Hartsveldt, Trustee Nixon, Trustee Slocombe

Absent: None

Reports received - Treasurer, Planning and Zoning, and Parks and Recreation. Previous meeting minutes were approved and authorization was received to pay the bills.

John Petoskey representing Grand Traverse Band requests letter of support regarding Treaty issues, tabled to July meeting. Flood Plain Maps Report. May 19th Drop Off Day Report.

Bill Drozdalski desigated authorized user of system for award management. Consensus of Board to not put anything else in the tax bill mailing. Report given on Fire Authority.

Centerville Township Notice To The Public

Synopsis of Regular Bd. Meeting for June 13, 2018 held at the Centerville Township Hall. Board members Schwantes, Wurm, Pleva, Hubbell, & Schaub were present. 5 Land Use Permits & no Land Division/Boundary Line adjustments were issued in May. Dr. Marv Anderson and the End Autism Foundation were granted a letter of support by the board for their cause. The board adopted resolution 2018-10 in support of GT Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians request that Congressman Jack Bergman introduce a bill enabling the US Court of Federal Claims to consider the Tribe’s claims arising from illegal dispossession of lands reserved in the July 1855 Treaty of Detroit. Leelanau County Road Commission agreement to improve Schomberg Road from Hohnke Road South to Fabiszak Road was approved by the board for $27,235.12. The PC regular meeting will be held June 25th, 2018 at 6:30PM at the Centerville Twp Hall. A July 18th, 2018 Board of Appeals meeting is being scheduled at 7PM for a WIFI Tower on French Road by Cherry Capital Connection. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Tues., July 10, 2018 at the Centerville Twp Hall at 7 p.m. (***Please note the date change for this meeting***) Draft minutes are available on the Twp. web site at www.leelanau.cc or by request at 228-7663. Synopsis For 06/14/2018

Supervisor Lautner opened the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance

All Board members were present

Eight guests were present

The following actions were taken by the Board:

Approved the agenda with two additions under New Business.

Approved the regular meeting minutes 05/17/2018 as written.

Approved the Treasurer’s report and payment of vouchers.

Approved to pay the additional onetime capital improvement payment of $90,000.00 to the Cedar Area Fire and Rescue by March 31, 2020.

Approved to permit the Cedar Chamber of Commerce for a short temporary road closure from 9341 S. Kasson St to 8801 S. Good Harbor Trail on June 23, 2018 from 12:45 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. for the Polka Fest Parade.

Approved to hire Dale Gauthier to assist Larry Bruckner with the township grounds and maintenance for $15.00 per hour.

Approved to pay John Hitt $100.00 for removing the big branch that fell in the cemetery and cleaning up the debris from it.
