3:07 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller heard a loud explosion and found that a vehicle in his neighbors’ driveway is on fire.

8:32 a.m. — Kasson Township — Larceny.

9:43 a.m. — Bingham Township — Yellow lab wearing a collar with tags is running around near business. Caller is unable to catch it.

11:48 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Older gentleman hitchhiking down the road. Tan dress pants and a pale pink shirt. *Subject is fine and well off the road.

11:54 a.m.— Suttons Bay Township — Smokey gray Volvo with orange bike on the back is swerving all over the road.

1:35 a.m. — Bingham Township — Two miniature donkeys walking in the roadway. All brown and one is white with brown spots.

3:21 p.m. — Bingham Township — Marine patrol out with a kayaker who has no life jacket on board.

4:23 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Tall male with khaki shorts, white shirt and baseball cap with work boots. Suspicious.

4:52 p.m. — Centerville Township — Brush fire got out of control. 30 X 30 and growing.

4:57 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Raft secured to a tree at the preserve between Old Mountain and Mountain Road.

5:14 p.m. — Bingham Township — White and light reddish-brown pit bull mix with long tail and short hair. Ribs showing. Caller’s cat is gone. Dog came in the yard and growled at caller’s wife.

8:41 a.m. — Kasson Township — Small, 4-door, forest green car, driving all over the road. Blowing stop signs and randomly stopping in the middle of the road.

8:46 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller is reporting a dog constantly barking.

10:21 p.m. —Leelanau Township — Caller is concerned with animal noises in the woods.

Thursday, July 26

6:56 a.m. — Leland Township — Elderly man walking north on M-22 toward Leland. Wearing a blue sweatsuit with a white T-shirt was running into the road in front of vehicles.

12:55 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Suspicious incident.

1:02 p.m. — Leland Township — Multiple cars parked in the boat launch parking. Spaced as marked for vehicles with trailers only.

1:08 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Black SUV partially blocking roadway in Omena.

1:09 p.m.— Elmwood Township — Black Ford Taurus tailgating and swerving from side to side.

2:03 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Kids trying to sell lemonade on the side of the road and are throwing things in the roadway. Trying to get people to stop.

3:58 p.m. — Leland Township — Cars parked in the blue stripe section of handicap parking spot. Caller was unable to get in vehicle via her wheelchair ramp.

4:02 p.m. — Bingham Township — Overturned boat at caller’s neighbors home.

7:49 p.m. — Leland Township — Large sailboat came into harbor. Grounded and has lost its motor.

10:11 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Fireworks.

10:39 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller hears screeching/crying.

Friday, July 27

1:02 a.m. — Kasson Township — Deputy is flagged down by people in a vehicle with out-of-state plates. They are lost. Looking to get to SugarLoaf area.

2:25 a.m. — Leland Township — Caller heard vehicle drive fast twice through Leland while she was sleeping.

1 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Violation of controlled substance law.

1:30 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Multiple vehicle parking in a “no parking” zone south of Suttons Bay. Caller believes its a potential accident situation.

2:31 p.m. — Leland Township — Sailboat with two people in water. Can’t get back in boat.

3:09 p.m. — Empire Township — Noisy truck (no description) going up and down the street between 12:30 and 4 a.m. Extra patrols requested.

6:36 p.m. — Solon Township — Two vehicle crash — semi vs. car — at M-72 and Co. Rd. 651.

Saturday, July 28

2:39 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Noise, like a revving engine, has been heard since 7 p.m.

2:42 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller hears what sounds like a car coming in and out of the driveway and saw lights. Could see the vehicle when they looked out the window.

7:38 a.m. — Empire Township — Neighbor is pushing trees on caller’s property. Caller thinks he is widening seasonal part of the road. * Situation worked itself out.

10:36 a.m. — Solon Township — Four-wheeler driving in the middle of the road from Cedar.

2:15 p.m. — Kasson Township — Deputy came across a deer standing dazed and confused in a ditch. DNR requested for a professional assessment. Animal dispatched. DNR will collect.

2:47 p.m. — Leland Township — Party on the water. Approximately 10 boats and they are making lots of noise.

8:06 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller heard one loud noise about 10 minutes ago southwest of Cedar, maybe Kasben or Valley road. (Deputies believe it’s people shooting with tannerite near Narlock Road.)

8:55 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Motor home parked a long the road. Been there for three days. Caller thinks it’s in the road right-of-way.

8:59 p.m. — Solon Township — Big dog running loose.

10:38 p.m. — Village of Northport — Operating while intoxicated.

11:29 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller believes there may be some underage drinking going on.

Sunday, July 29

12:35 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller reports a natural phenomenon. The “moon is dancing and jumping.” Caller says he’s not been drinking and the incident will be “all over the news tomorrow.” Has it on video.

12:56 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Truck peeled past caller. Black Dodge pickup. Left party drunk.

2:02 a.m. — Leland Township — Two to four males are fighting. No ambulance needed. All are drunk.

11:17 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Park ranger checking on illegal camping at an abandoned farmstead.

1:32 p.m. — Leland Township — Jack Russell terrier running on M-204.

1:52 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Retail fraud.

5:02 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Trespassers at the beach between the yacht club and Veridian building. They are also using the yacht club swim raft. (People moved along. Apologized for being there.)

11:12 p.m. — Centerville Township — Fireworks on Kelenski Point or Glazier Beach area.

Monday, July 30

8:18 a.m. — Kasson Township — Someone left wallet at corn stand.

9:40 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Black and white cat, “Hoxie,” has been missing for three days.

12:57 p.m. — Bingham Township — Two females on the side of the road. *All set. Just waiting for the bus.

8:34 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller is missing a blind male pug with one eye. He has a white flea collar on him.

8:51 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Green, 1990s green Jeep with a hard top driving aggressively.

9:26 p.m. — Kasson Township — Four cattle in the road. (Owner was out for a bit. Cattle have been brought back in.)
