12:10 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Neighbor sent caller a text about activity at her home. Renters, trespassers, parking etc. Caller wanted it documented for the record.

1:38 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Money found in the roadway. Deduced it was likely a tip left on one of the outdoor tables for eating. Returned to restaurant,

4:24 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Retail fraud.

5:28 p.m. — Leland Township — Ford transit van all over the road. Crosses center line every time another vehicle approaches it.

7:09 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller was walking five hours ago in the woods and came across a gentleman acting strangely. Caller thought she should report it.

8:13 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Suspicious person.

9:06 p.m. — Leland Township — Male guest being very disorderly. Caller may have to ask him to leave. Would like deputy on standby.

9:57 p.m. — Leland Township — Yacht is rocking, raving and yelling; quiet time is approaching. Would like them to quiet down.

10:06 p.m. — Leland Township — Altercation on the bridge in Leland.

10:23 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Gold Toyota was in the middle of the road without lights. Now all over the road.

Thursday, Aug. 2

12:50 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller hears a male yelling outside. Just got into a white Jeep, possibly heading south on M-22.

10:23 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Breaking and entering.

10:57 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller came across the vehicle in his orchard today. When confronted, driver departed.

2:32 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Malicious destruction of property (turfing) at Braman Hill.

7 p.m. — Bingham Township — Violation of controlled substance law.

9:49 p.m. — Solon Township — Operating while intoxicated.

10:01 p.m. — Suttons Bay — Older male with jean jacket and glasses is stumbling and getting into a white utility vehicle.

11:07 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Vehicle just sitting in the cul-de-sac with lights on.

Friday, Aug. 3

6:16 a.m. — Kasson Township — Silver Honda Fit is parked at the pump. Unoccupied but running with the gas pump in the vehicle. Has been there at least 20 minutes.

8:07 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Violation of the controlled substance law.

8:57 a.m. — Leland Township — Black Cadillac driving erratically all over the roadway varying speeds.

1:30 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Elderly male with Alzheimer’s took off in a silver GMC in Grand Traverse County leaving his wife behind.

2:25 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Larceny.

2:53 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Subject wants to file a missing persons report.

3:57 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Retail fraud.

4:36 p.m. — Northport — Caller states cars parked in turnaround by the marina every Friday and they are not supposed to be parking there.

6:01 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller thinks people are swimming too close to their property and tubing too close as well.

6:58 p.m. — Leland Township — Suspicious incident at Leland Harbor.

7:49 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Disorderly person.

7:55 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Breaking and entering.

Saturday, Aug. 4

3:24 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller heard loud yelling, laughter and conversation.

11:54 a.m. — Northport — Caller lost wallet at Northport Park concert. *Wallet found.

1:20 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Neighbor is shooting pellet gun at geese from balcony around the Crystal River.

2:35 p.m. — Suttons Bay — Retail fraud.

6:49 p.m. — Bingham Township — Black Subaru parked at boat launch with door wide open.

8:17 p.m. — Leland Township — Two dune buggies and motorcycle going up and down the road. Very fast and very loud.

8:41 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller is concerned with boat and water skier coming really close to the sandbar. Caller thinks it was a hazard. Wants marine patrol to know.

9:39 p.m. — Leland Township — Fireworks in the area of Lake Leelanau. Can be seen from M-204 and French Road.

10:34 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Large, 4th of July-type fireworks going off near area.

10:50 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller’s mother is hearing gunshots in the area. Fireworks from Brengeman Brothers. *They have a permit. Everything is legal.

11:15 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Disorderly person.

Sunday, Aug. 5

12:06 a.m. — Centerville Township — Operating while intoxicated.

12:22 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Park Service out with a vehicle parked at the Glen Lake Picnic Area.

3:51 a.m. — Leland Township — Deputy out with a vehicle at the side of the road with an open door. Arrest made for operating while intoxicated.

11:57 a.m. — Suttons Bay — Parking complaint at marina.

12:14 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Five or six cyclists riding on the wrong side of the road between Sugar Loaf and Glen Arbor.

1:24 p.m. — Empire Township — Three young females floating out into the water a couple hundred feet off shore. They are in an orange raft and they can’t bet back to shore. * Made it to shore before units dispatched.

2:59 p.m. — Centerville Township — Miscellaneous juvenile activity.

4:59 p.m. — Centerville Township — Three little girls were in an inflatable flamingo in the water. Flamingo is now rolling in the waves. Unknown if the girls are in the water. *Girls located without incident.

8:07 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller is reporting an ongoing issues with cars parking well off the road then onto the yard of his long-term rental. Caller is going to put up signs indicating “private drive.”

9:04 p.m. — Leland Township — 911 hangup. Dispatchers hear walking in the background and male voice saying, “Let’s go get ice cream.”

Monday, Aug. 6

1:19 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Deputy flagged down near television station. Employees got locked out of the building. Another employee is coming to let them in.

8:24 a.m. — Empire Township — Vehicle parked at Old Settlers Park since Friday morning.

9:08 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Dispute over parking fees.

9:52 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Vehicle abandoned on the side of the road. Deputy is placing a 24-hour sticker on vehicle stating it will be towed if not removed.

12:41 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller saw white SUV lose control, go in the ditch and hit small trees. The SUV then made it back to the road and headed southbound. Vehicle is smoking heavily. Caller unable to get a plate.

1:19 p.m. — Suttons Bay — Dog in a car, appears to be in distress. *Owner arrived at vehicle. Dog is OK.

1:40 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller reports commercial grade fireworks being shot off at winery. *Activity is legal. A permit has been issued.

3:20 p.m. — Elmwood Township — 3-year-old found on a bike. Doesn’t know where he lives. *Mom on the scene upon arrival. Child got away from her. Both parties together again.

4:09 p.m. — Bingham Township — Red tow truck, northbound, is crossing into the oncoming lane and off the shoulder. No plate available.

4:10 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Four kids playing on Scott Hill. *Were advised it is private property and they were sent on their way.

5:06 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Harassment.

5:12 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Harassment.

5:24 p.m. — Leland Township — Red tow truck from previous listing located at Van’s Beach. Trooper said they were not intoxicated. Just tired.

5:57 p.m. — Bingham Township — Old, white Ford Explorer swerving into other lane. Speeding and passing.

8:52 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller trying to contact the Park Service about two males driving a white Jeep on dunes at Peterson Beach in Benzie County.

9:47 p.m. — Empire Township — A French woman lost her husband on the dunes.

10:09 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Suspicious incident.
