Shumaker to talk about Arcadia book

Author Heather Shumaker will discuss her book, “Saving Arcadia: A Store of Conservation and Community in the Great Lakes” at 4 p.m., next Wednesday, Sept 12, at the Leland Township Library.

“Saving Arcadia,” a Michigan Notable Book, has been described as a page-turning “land conservation action thriller.”

Shumaker also writes for parents in her books titled, “It’s OK Not to Share” and “It’s OK to Go Up the Slide. She also writes for children with her books, “The Griffins of Castle Cary,” which will be released in March 2019.

Shumaker is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

There is no charge to attend the program, which will be held in the Munnecke Room at the library.
