Boats, music, more in Greilickville

It’s a celebration of all things water. The “Sale, Paddle, and Row Boat Show” will provide music and activities for all ages Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Maritime Heritage Alliance in Greilickville. Those attending can sail model boats, learn to tie knots, watch experienced sailors practicing fancy ropework and enjoy tours of historic watercraft. There is no charge.

9-11 remembered in Glen Arbor

The Glen Lake Fire Department on Tuesday will hold its annual memorial commemoration for the terrorist attack on America that took down the Twin Towers in New York. The program, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Glen Lake Fire Station in Glen Arbor, will include presentations, community comments, musical selections and tours of the 9-11 Memorial Garden located outside the fire station.

“Heavenly” garden walk to raise funds

Enjoy the exquisite efflorescence of Fr. Ken and Ray Stachnik’s garden at the “Heavenly” Garden Walk from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. The Stachnik residence is located at 9059 Nelson Street in Cedar. The event, sponsored by the Cedar Chamber of Commerce and Bunting’s, will cost $15 per person. Proceeds benefit the Cedar Area Fire & Rescue Equipment Fund.
