Leelanau Township Notice Of Public Hearing

The Leelanau Township Planning Commission will conduct Public Hearings and consider the following zoning ordinance amendments on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Leelanau Township Hall, 119 E. Nagonaba Street, Northport, MI 49670:

1. Amend the Leelanau Township Zoning Ordinance to allow Child Care and Adult

Day Care Facilities in the Agricultural and Residential Zoning Districts.

Specifically Amend Article 2 – Definitions to add definitions of Family Child Care

Home, Group Child Care Home, and Adult Day Care Home. Amend Article 4 –

Agricultural Zoning District to allow Child Care and Adult Day Care Facilities with conditions. Amend Article 5 – Residential Zoning Districts to allow Child Care and

Adult Day Care Facilities with conditions.

2. Amend the landscaping standards in Section 17.3.G of the Leelanau Township

Zoning Ordinance to encourage the planting of native plants and prevent the planting of invasive plant species for projects that require a Landscaping Plan.

The proposed amendments may be reviewed at the Leelanau Township Offices, 119 E.

Nagonaba Street, Northport, MI 49670 during regular office hours. Questions should be directed to the Leelanau Township Office of Planning & Zoning, (231) 386-5138 ext. 4.

Solon Township Board Notice

Special Meeting Minutes Synopsis For 08/25/2018

Supervisor Lautner opened the special meeting at 9:30 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Three Board members were present and two Board members had excused absence.

There were no guests present.

The following actions were taken by the Board:

Approved the agenda as presented.

Adopted Ordinance #2018-1 Addressing Floodplain Management Provisions of the State Construction Code.

Adopted Resolution # 2018-08-25- 01, a Michigan Community Resolution of Intent for Participating in the National Flood Insurance Program.

Adopted Resolution # 2018-08-25- 02, a Michigan Community Resolution and Intergovernmental Agreement to Manage.

Floodplain Development for the National Flood Insurance Program.

Approved to submit an Application Participating in the National Flood Insurance Program.
