Festivals in Fishtown

The town of Leland will be hopping Saturday with two festivals. The annual Leland Heritage Festival starts at 11 a.m. and offers a car show at Van’s Garage, “Wood Boats on the Wall” at the Leelanau Historical Museum, a scavenger hunt, live music and a used book sale at the Leland Library. Later in the evening, be sure to stop by the Old Art Building for classical music at the Leland Musical Arts Celebration. Tickets for the event are $20.

Street fair in Lake Leelanau

Stroll through the streets of Lake Leelanau Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the Lake Leelanau Street Fair. Enjoy live music, art and food. Vendors will include local arts and crafts artists, local wine, craft beer, authors and book signings. Younger family members will enjoy face painting, a treasure hunt, jump rope, bubbles and sidewalk art.

Mingle with art and ag

An artists’ reception for “agriCULTURE: Barnyards and Farmscapes” will kick off the new exhibit Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Glen Arbor Art Center. The art displayed in the exhibition explores different aspects of Leelanau’s rural agricultural landscapes. Come see for yourself and talk to the artists who captured the spirit of our county in their work. The event is free.
