Meth-related charges made

PAQUETTE PAQUETTE A 35-year-old Lake Leelanau woman has been charged with contributing to a meth-making operation.

Patricia W. Paquette of 5680 E. Amore Rd., was arraigned Tuesday in District Court, formally charged in connection with a meth-making operation with boyfriend, Jacob O. Schaub.

According to the probable cause complaint, Paquette purchased the pseudoephedrine for Schaub to use in making methamphetamine. State drug logs indicate that Paquette made more than 60 purchases of pseudoephedrine.

Bond was set at $50,000 and as a condition of her bond, she may not have any contact with Schaub.

Schaub pleaded no contest last month to operating a drug lab and as a habitual offender.

He is scheduled to be sentenced next month.

A preliminary hearing for Paquette is slated for Oct. 23.
