 Centerville Township board meeting synopsis for Dec. 20.

 Solon Township Board has scheduled a public hearing for Feb. 14 at 7:30 pm. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed updated Parks and Recreation Plan.

Notice under MCL 600.3278: Pursuant to MCL 600.3278, if the property is sold at a foreclosure sale under MCL 600.3201 et. seq., the borrower will be held responsible to the person who buys the property at the mortgage foreclosure sale or the mortgage holder for damaging the property during the redemption period.

ATTENTION POTENTIAL PURCHASERS AT FORECLOSURE SALE: In the case of resolution prior to or simultaneously with the aforementioned foreclosure sale, State Savings Bank, as successor by merger to Central State Bank, may rescind this sale at any time prior to the end of the redemption period. In that event, your damages, if any, shall be limited to the return of your bid amount tendered at the sale, plus interest. An event permitting foreclosure by advertisement under MCL 600.3201 et seq., having occurred in the conditions of a Mortgage made by Todd A. Stachnik, a married man, (“Mortgagor”) to State Savings Bank, dated July 29, 2008, and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for the County of Leelanau in the State of Michigan on August 7, 2008, in Liber 985, Page(s) 35-45, et. seq., said Mortgage being last assigned to State Savings Bank (“State Savings Bank”), as successor by merger to Central State Bank, by Mortgage Assignment dated July 29, 2008, and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for the County of Leelanau in the State of Michigan on August 7, 2008, in Liber 985, Page(s) 46, et. seq., on which Mortgage there is claimed to be due as of the date of this Notice the sum of $360,693.77, which amount may or may not be the entire indebtedness owed by Mortgagor to State Savings Bank together with interest at 4.875 percent per annum.

NOW THEREFORE, Notice is hereby given that the power of sale contained in said Mortgage has become operative and that pursuant to that power of sale and MCL 600.3201 et. seq., on February 6, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., in the govenment complex of the Government Center, which is located at 8527 E. Government Center Drive, Suttons Bay, Michigan, that being the place for holding the Circuit Court and/ or for conducting such foreclosure sales for the County of Leelanau, there will be offered at public sale, the premises, or some part thereof, described in said Mortgage as follows, to-wit:

The Northeast ¼ of the Northwest ¼ of Section 35, Town 29 North, Range 13 West, EXCEPT that part of the Northwest ¼ of Section 35, Town 29 North, Range 13 West, more fully described as: Beginning at the North ¼ corner of said Section 35; thence North 89 degrees 27’36” West along the North line of said section, 1317.19 feet to the West 1/8th line of said section; thence South 00 degrees 00’17” West along said West 1/8th line, 330.72 feet; thence South 89 degrees 27’36” East, parallel with said North line, 1317.18 feet to the North and South ¼ line of said section; thence North 00 degrees 00’19” East along said North and South ¼ line, 330.72 feet to the Point of Beginning.

Parcel 2:

That part of the Northwest ¼ of Section 35, Town 29 North, Range 13 West, described as: Commencing at the North ¼ corner of said section; thence South 00 degrees 00’19” West along the North and South ¼ line of said section, 1318.23 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing South 00 degrees 00’19” West along said ¼ line, 331.08 feet; thence North 89 degrees 26’45” West, 1317.09 feet to the West 1/8th line of said section; thence North 00 degrees 00’09” East along the 1/8th line, 331.08 feet to the North 1/8th line of said section; thence South 89 degrees 26’45” East along said 1/8th line, 1317.11 feet to the Point of Beginning.

The redemption period shall be 6 months unless the property is established to be abandoned pursuant to MCL 600.3241a, in which case the redemption period shall be the later of thirty (30) days from the date of sale or fifteen (15) days from the date the notice required by MCL 600.3241a(b) was posted and mailed, or unless under MCL 600.3240(16), prior to the foreclosure sale the Mortgagor follows the procedure set forth in that section to establish the presumption that the property is used for Agricultural purposes, in which case the redemption period shall be one (1) year from the date of the sale, or a shorter period if the right of redemption is extinguished under MCL 600.3238. Pursuant to MCL 600.3238, after the sale and periodically throughout the redemption period, the purchaser at the sale may inspect the exterior and interior of the property and all ancillary structures. If inspection is unreasonably refused or if damage to the property is imminent or has occurred, the purchaser may commence summary proceedings for possession of the property under Chapter 57 of the Revised Judicature Act of 1961, or file an action for any other relief necessary to protect the property from damage. If a judgment for possession is entered in favor of the purchaser, the right of redemption is extinguished and full title to the property vests in the purchaser.

Centerville Township Notice To The Public

Synopsis of Regular Bd. Meeting for December 20, 2018 held at the Centerville Township Hall. Board members Schwantes, Wurm, Pleva, Hubbell, & Schaub were present. 3 Land Use Permits & no Land Division/Boundary Line adjustments were issued in November. Board appointments include 1-year terms to the Board of Review for Beth Chiles and Ray Kuhn. Planning Commission appointments were 3-year terms for Tim Johnson and Lindy Kellogg. Jeff Smith was appointed to a 2-year term to the Zoning Board of Appeals. The next PC regular meeting will be held January 28th, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Centerville Twp Hall. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Wed., Jan. 9, 2019 at the Centerville Twp Hall at 7 p.m. The February meeting will be held Feb. 6, 2019, which is one week early. Decedent’s Revocable Trust, The Sandra D. Gibbons Trust dated April 18, 2006; with a First Amendment dated June 7, 2013; a second Amendment dated November 8, 2013; and a Third Amendment dated November 6, 2015.

TO ALL CREDITORS:

Your interest in the estate may be barred or affected by the following:

The decedent, Sandra D. Gibbons, whose last known address was 10677 S. Fredrickson Road, Empire, Michigan, 49630, died June 27, 2018.

By Trust Indenture dated 18th day of April, 2006, the decedent established the Sandra D. Gibbons Trust; with a First Amendment dated June 7, 2013; a second Amendment dated November 8, 2013; and a Third Amendment dated November 6, 2015.
