Charles S. Robinson, Ph.D., P.E. 1920-2010 passed away quietly early Saturday, March 20, 2010 in Denver Colorado attended by family. Having a long and distinguished career in the United States Navy, United States Geological Survey, and private practice Robby will be missed by his many friends and colleagues. The Robinson family has a long history in the Glen Lake area establishing a summer residence on Glen Lake in November of 1923 by his father Dr. Charles Summers Robinson and mother Florence Sherwood Robinson who preceded him in death. The original cottage still stands today and many generations of Robinson’s friends, family, renters, and neighbors have so enjoyed summer days and nights there. Robby is survived by; his wife of 60 years Elizabeth (Libby), children, Virginia Owen, Charlie, Peter, and Bob; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. No memorial services are planned.
