Joyce E. Einodshofer
1933-2009
Visitation will be held Friday, June 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah; and funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m. at Empire United Methodist Church, for Joyce E. Einodshofer of Empire who died June 1 at the Maples in Frankfort. She was 76.
She was born April 17, 1933, in Traverse City, the daughter of Ellsworth and Ellen Esch. Her husband of 54 years, John, survives.
A lifelong member of the Northwestern Michigan Fair Association, she devoted her time as a 4H leader. In 2008, she and her husband were honored for their years of service to the fair. She was also a lifelong member of the Platte Grange #1328.
Also surviving are her daughter, Elaine (Dennis) Taghon; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas, in 1985.
A graveside committal service will be held in the Platte Township Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Glen Lake Fire and Rescue, the Northwestern Michigan Fair, or the Platte Grange.
