1927-2008

A memorial service will be held later this month for former Northport resident Marjorie Cole who died Dec. 22, 2008.  She was 81.

She was born Oct. 2, 1927, and was raised by Anna and John Eggert.  On March 15, 1947, she married Allen “Bud” Cole, who survives.

She grew up on a farm in Northport with siblings Marcella and Gerald.  For more than 40 years, she and her husband ran an accounting firm in Royal Oak.  She loved to golf, travel, and visit Las Vegas casinos.

Also surviving are her daughter Dee (Mark); sons, Jeff (Karen) and Brad; brother, Gerald (Jean) Eggert; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are through Lynch & Sons in Oxford.  Memorial donations may be directed to the K-9 Rescue League, 2120 Metamora Rd., Oxford, MI 48371.
