LAKE LEELANAUDebra Lynn Nash, 74, of Lake Leelanau, passed away on April 1, 2024, in Traverse City. She was born on February 24, 1950, in Clawson, Michigan, to Viola (Sears) and Merv Rendell. On June 11, 1988, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Clawson, she married Kenneth John Nash.

Debby cherished life and her family with boundless love and devotion. Known as everybody’s rock, she was a constant source of support for her loved ones. Her vibrant spirit illuminated every room she entered, and she danced through life as if no one was watching. Her generosity knew no bounds; she frequently volunteered at her church, helped organize the annual Halloween spook house, and crafted quilts for charitable donation. With unwavering faith and strong religious values, she exemplified compassion and kindness in all she did.

Professionally, Debra served as a respiratory therapist at the hospital now known as Ascension Providence Hospital in Rochester, MI. Her love for Northern Michigan led her to permanently relocate to the area in 1994, where she worked at Northern Latitudes Distillery in Lake Leelanau as a spirit guide. Fondly nicknamed “Moonshine Debby” by her colleagues, she delighted in crafting her signature moonshine margaritas.

An adventurous soul, Debby adored traveling and exploring new horizons. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Debra is survived by her children: Jody (Mike) Lane, Kenny Nash, Earl (Leanne) Nash, Anthony Ticconi, Erick (Pam) Nash, and Matt Ticconi; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister Patricia (Al) Aiken.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 33 years, Ken, her daughter Mindy Ticconi, and her brothers Fred and Richard Rendell.

A service was held on Thursday, April 4th, at 5:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Suttons Bay. Pastor Jonathan Reid officiated.

A secondary visitation took place on Friday, April 5th, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wujek-Calcaterra Funeral Home in Shelby Township.

The funeral service and burial was held on Saturday, April 6 the chapel of Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills.
