RIP Bill “Pop-Tart” Post

I was sorry to hear about the passing of former Glen Lake resident Bill Post. I knew Bill quite well; his house was very near the Glen Lake Dairy Bar. He stopped in often and started a once-a-week morning prayer meeting, a great guy, and the inventor of the Pop-Tarts (which we didn’t serve). Even his license plate was ”Pop-Tart”. Bill was a real success story, he started with the company as a kid washing trucks and by the time he retired, left the company as a Vice President. I always bugged Bill about wanting to buy his Convertible Pick Up, He would never sell.

As the winter weather goes, the problem is we never know when it’s going to go, it’s everyone’s guess day-to-day.

Not much happening this time of year folks, but we have much to look forward to, such as beginning of daylight savings time, and the day that everyone is Irish and many really are. St. Patties Day.
