Glen Lake girls basketball dropped two games in the past week.

On Tuesday, Harbor Springs defeated the Lakers 54-53 in a thriller.

Glen Lake senior Eleanor Valkner led with 21 points, 15 steals; Jessie Pugh 14 points, 4 steals; Lydia Fosmore 12 points, 7 rebounds.

The Lakers will play the winner of Suttons Bay and Leland next Friday, March 7.

Last Friday, Glen Lake lost to Onekama 69-49.

“We ran into a young, inspired, hot shooting Onekama team. We were disappointed to lose the game but we are ending up as co-champions of the Northwest Conference with Kingsley.”

“I told our girls that we have to look back at the whole season and to finish 12-2, in a very competitive Northwest Conference, is a great accomplishment. Being Northwest Conference champions was a season long goal and to accomplish it is awesome,” Glen Lake coach Brad Fosmore said.
