Lakers wrapped up its 202324 season at regionals over the weekend as Glen Lake competed for a spot in the state championships.

Glen Lake sophomore Tanner Crick finished just outside the cut for the state championships in 10th place, and Isaac Halloway finished 17th overall in the individual tournament. Brody Switzer, Riley Kinee, Annabelle Roach, and Zayden McCough finished 33rd, 39th, 47th and 671st, respectively.

“I think it was a good year overall and everyone improved from the start to the end from last year,” he said.

Crick had a six-game score of 179, 278, 147, 150, 180, and 130.

Crick had things rolling in the first two games by hitting strikes and knocking down spares.

In the second game, Crick struck nine strikes in-a-row.

“Something clicked and the ball was rolling nice,” he said.

Glen Lake coach Rhojo Crick is excited for next season as the Lakers will be returning everyone on the sophomore-majority team.

“Overall, I say it was a good season. There was a lot of growth and all of the appropriate steps taken for next year,” she said.
