To the editor:
Abandonment and appeasement are words never associated with our nation. Trump, supported by his followers, recently stated that he would abandon Ukraine and our NATO allies to appease Putin. How un-American is that? Chamberlain’s appeasement of Hitler was a tragic error. But Chamberlain was motivated by a desire to save another generation of young men from slaughter. What is Trump’s motivation? Should Trump be the GOP nominee, our choice in November will be clear. A vote for Trump means the American Experiment ends in failure. A vote for Biden means we will continue to be the world’s last, best hope.
