The Glen Lake Library will host local filmmaker James Weston Schaberg for a screening of his 2023 documentary film “Eye of the Wind” on Monday at 7 p.m. The film is a stunning presentation of aerial photography demonstrating the art of quietly capturing bird’s-eye views without noisy propellers or burning fossil fuels.

The film is a stunning presentation of aerial photography demonstrating the art of quietly capturing bird’s-eye views without noisy propellers or burning fossil fuels.

“Eye of the Wind” is an adventure in modern kite aerial photography— an art form and flight technology invented in France during the late 1800s. The film offers unique perspectives on the landscapes of Leelanau County and other locations.
