Empire Township hosted its annual meeting on Saturday covering salary resolutions, a fire department report, and a library report.
Empire Township clerk Christine Neiswonger received a raise from $34,000 to $42,000. In a previous Enterprise article last week featuring the Empire Township budget, a reporter erroneously stated that the clerk’s raise went from $42,000 to $46,000.
The public had an opportunity to vote for this resolution on Saturday, and it passed with a motion from Diana Oberschulte, and a second from Rob Barnes.
