Copper beneath state park eyed

To the editor: Last week I learned that the state of MI is considering approval for a Canadian Company to mine copper adjacent to the Porcupine Mountains State Park in Gogebic County and in extreme proximity to Lake Superior. The state is also considering a $50 million grant to Highland Copper to proceed.
