‘Vile rhetoric’

To the editor:

Sheriff Borkovich saw fit to stand with ex-president Trump while he launched into his usual migrant hate speech. Leelanau’s 4% Hispanic population must be appalled to see their sheriff stand by while they are denigrated by Trump. Any person with a Christian foundation, high morals and a backbone, would have exited the stage when Trump repeatedly called the Hispanic migrants’ “animals.”

I expect him to think of how he looks in his county uniform standing behind one of the most despicable human beings spewing his vile rhetoric.
