‘Complicit in … silence’

To the editor:

Letters whining about our wonderful Sheriff’s meeting with former President Trump to discuss border safety are disappointing. Instead, shouldn’t these writers be protesting the explosion of fentanyl crossing our border (estimated to be enough to kill every person in our country last year)?

Additionally, with 294 illegal aliens on the terrorist watchlist apprehended since 2021 (and those are only the individuals Border Patrol agents have caught), shouldn’t they be drafting letters of apology for the moment when the terror attacks that FBI Director Wray is warning will ultimately occur?
