Glen Lake’s Joey Rioux hit his first home run in grand slam fashion during a pair of 15-0 mercy wins over Onekama on Tuesday.
“It was crazy, my first home run ever in my life. That was really exciting ... I didn’t know at the moment,” Rioux said. “I didn’t even realize that I hit it that far.”
The grand slam happened in the first of two games against Onekama when Rioux saw a slightly inside pitch that he took yard, just inside the left field foul pole with a simple swing.
