Northcutt attends 75th Kentucky Derby

Leelanau and Louisville resident Allen Northcutt saw his 75th Kentucky Derby on Saturday from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. “They’re all a little different but they’re all pretty much the same,” he said.

Leelanau and Louisville resident Allen Northcutt saw his 75th Kentucky Derby on Saturday from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

“They’re all a little different but they’re all pretty much the same,” he said. “Lots and lots of people and good people watching and fun to bet on the horses. You never know who’s gonna win.”

This year’s Kentucky Derby was a little different for Northcutt as he was nursing a shoulder industry. Despite the struggle, friends brought drinks and made sure bets were placed.
