Wednesday, May 8

1:57 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller went around the house and notices a screen had been pulled away from one of the windows.

2:55 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Law enforcement out with motorist towing a dislodged boat.

3:17 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Semi-tractor trailer in the middle of the road. Possibly a moving truck. States it is completely in the driving lane. (Area patrolled. No moving trucks found.)

4:04 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Sister dropped off guns. Caller would like to speak with law enforcement about what he should do.

5:52 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Mini-van, 65 mph swerving. Downtown Suttons Bay.

6:16 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Cars are driving “extremely fast” on Omena Point Road and caller is concerned now that more children are present at the public beach. Caller requests placement of the radar trailer.

6:25 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Small gray/tan Toyota or Honda passing on double-yellow and on curves. California plates. Unable to read. They were going too fast.

9:09 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller is new to the area. She has noticed some weird thing happening at the house and she is a little concerned about it.

Thursday, May 9

4:05 a.m. — Leland Township — Deputy checking on a vehicle at Van’s Garage. Someone left their lights on after dropping their car off.

1:24 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Lady going door to door looking for where her relative died.

3:42 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Purse found on the side of the road. (Purse returned.)

6:57 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Two-car accident. No injuries.

7:16 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Elmwood Fire Department called out on an illegal burn. Someone possibly burning trash in the area. (Fire was extinguished.)

8:27 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Gray Jeep stopped. Driver arrested for operating while intoxicated.

8:47 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Cow in the middle of the road.

9:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Mom’s boyfriend will not let caller leave. Nothing physical happened.

9:54 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Intoxicated person walking toward his mom’s home.

Friday, May 10

9:15 a.m. — Leland Township — Caller’s car was damaged in the parking lot. Accident happened at Van’s Beach parking lot last night.

10:05 a.m. — Empire Township — Neighbor’s guineafowl are always loose and getting into caller’s yard and the roadway.

2:06 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Elderly gentleman may need help. He is possibly having car trouble. Silver Dodge Challenger or Charger.

4 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller’s wife lost wedding ring either in Fishtown or Suttons Bay. Will be in the area for the weekend. Please call if found.

4:07 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller asked mushroom hunters to leave his property. They ignored him and kept picking. Blue sedan.

4:37 p.m. — Kasson Township — Employee in Maple City reports a car hit the building and left. They backed into the building. Got out and looked, then left.

4:58 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Gray Jeep. Newer model. Headed northbound. Almost ran caller off the road.

5:37 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller reports use of a credit card after stepdad was deceased.

6:31 p.m. — Solon Township — Boat loose in Lake Leelanau from a resort. Manager put out some on moorings. One is loose. No one in the boat. It just came loose. (Employee will work with her manager to find someone that can help with the boat. Just wanted law enforcement to know that no one is on the boat or in distress.

10:21 p.m. —Elmwood Township — Dog has been running around on and off for up to two weeks.

11:16 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Horse in the road. Animal control made contact. Horse was spooked and loose earlier. They will try to locate the horse. (Horse was secured at home.)

Saturday, May 11

8:22 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Charter fisherman taking on water. Six on board.

1:57 p.m. — Leland Township — White Kia, 4-door sedan swerving. Crossing lines.

4:40 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Family locked out of vehicle. Already called a tow truck. (Just got into their vehicle.)

5:49 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller has cameras around his buildings. One person walking around his property. Gray SUV. Caller would like to know his options.

6:07 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Gray colored Ford all over the road.

9:51 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Law enforcement out with a vehicle on the side of the road. Multiple occupants. (They are trying to get their bearings for the Northern Lights.)

10:20 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller has a camping spot. Someone took the spot while caller and her husband were at dinner.

10:26 p.m. — Centerville Township — Car swerving. Dark colored. Ran a stop sign and headed south on Lake Shore Drive.

10:48 p.m. — Centerville Township — Over 100 cars at Good Harbor Beach. There are people stuck on the beach in the sand and trying to pull each other out.

11:18 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller had someone rev their car at them as they were trying to get into their driveway. Caller took a picture of the plate. Caller would like a call from deputy when one is available.

Sunday, May 12

1:37 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Large, loud party and fireworks. Has been going on since 9 p.m. last night. (Caller called back. Seems like the noise has stopped.)

2:36 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller’s husband is threatening to hurt her.

4:43 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Dog, part corgi and Australian Shepherd, named “Mocha” ran off about 20 minutes ago.

6:44 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller lost on the Empire Bluff Trail. On unofficial trail between Empire Bluff and Treat Farm. Female stated that she needed help and didn’t know which direction to go. She is heading south to the Treat Farm and met two other people helping her. She was advised not to go down to the water.

10:13 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Three females on side of the road with a smashed

up car. Hit a deer.

Monday, May 13

1:18 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Deputy came across a vehicle in the ditch.

2:06 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller behind a vehicle that sped up while she was trying to pass.

2:13 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Black Audi with tinted windows. Driver is “smoking the reefer.” Law enforcement met with young men. “No reefer” found. Asked them to move it along.

4:33 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller’s son is in the area. He is a danger to the caller. Just drove by. He was supposed to vacate the area. He tired to get on caller’s wifi twice. Would like a deputy to respond to the area.

6:20 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Daughter has personal protection order against her family. Asking caller’s daughter to meet.

10:25 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller is concerned about a fire that a group of people started on the beach.

Tuesday, May 14

3:37 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Deputy out with a vehicle in the turnoff by Pathfinder. Driver was sleeping in the back of the car. Was asked to move.

1:27 p.m. — Leland Township — Saturday, early morning, caller saw lights on in the neighbor’s house to the north. Didn’t think much of it but other neighbors through she should call. (Caller was advised to call the moment she sees anything.

3:37 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller’s neighbor put his dock and hoist at the edge of caller’s property. She states it is on her riparian rightof- way. (Caller advised to contact state Conservation Officer.)
