Andrew Michael “Andy” DeNoyer was born on July 26, 1957, in Traverse City, Michigan, to James and Lucy (Knight) DeNoyer. He passed away on April 1,2024, at age 66 in Dayton, Ohio, at Miami Valley Hospital after a long illness.
He was married to Cindy Burdick DeNoyer, with whom he remained friends. He met the love of his life, Donna Wolfe, in 2006.
He was preceded in death by his mother (2003) and his father (2004). He is survived by Donna Wolfe; his daughter, Olivia Flesher, and his 2 stepsons, Cory and Cody Wolfe, each of whom he loved very much and was very proud of; his sister, Laurel (Michael) Marotta, and his brother, Joseph (Susan) DeNoyer, and his lifelong best friend, Mike Schopieray. Andy attended Immaculate Conception and Norris Elementary Schools, and graduated from Suttons Bay High School in 1975. He spent many years in the Army National Guard; he was discharged in 2003. He was a talented mechanic. So he could further pursue fixing cars, he attended Northwestern Michigan College and received an automotive technology degree in 2015.
Andy had a variety of interests. One of his best qualities was that everyone he met was an instant friend! He loved animals and he was always adopting strays. He was a big NASCAR nut. One of his favorite hobbies was building models. In 2016, he and Donna took a month-long trip to visit Cody at Camp Pendleton in California, which gave them all many happy memories.
Andy will be profoundly missed.
Andy has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at the Mayfield Chapel on June 1, 2024, at 1 pm.
