Discovery Pier just celebrated the completion of its first phrase of improvements including new perimeter pathways, paved parking, fishing area railing, shade structure, and event pavilion.
Discovery Center & Pier will host its second annual Discover Fishing at the Pier program Friday, June 1.
This free program, developed in partnership with Inland Seas Education Association, Michigan United Conservation Clubs, and the Northwest Michigan Fishing Club, will welcome up to 90 youth and their families to Discovery Pier and will provide an introduction to Great Lakes fishing, food webs, and stewardship.
