The Old Art Building is hosting the 12th Annual Plein Air painting event and exhibit on Saturday.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., artists will be seen painting in and around Leelanau County, capturing images of historic Fishtown, views of orchards and vineyards, spectacular terrain, and beautiful beaches.
Nearly 50 Plein air artists from the region and beyond will be participating in this year’s event.
A reception and sale of paintings “fresh off the easel” will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 ($25 OAB Members) and available for purchase on the Old Art Building website ( www.oldartbuilding. com) or at the door. Reception includes wine from Blustone Winery and light appetizers.
The Leland Air exhibit will be open to the public Sunday, May 26 through Thursday, May 30.
Exhibit hours are Sunday 11 a.m. - to 4 p.m. and Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
