County Road 614 will soon be completely closed between Alpine Road and Weisler Drive as crews carry out planned culvert work and a road reconstruction of Gallivan Road northeast of Solon Township.
According to a press release from the Leelanau County Road Commission, construction will start May 28, weather permitting. The culvert replacements and road reconstruction are expected to take 28 days to complete, with the project’s estimated end date being June 24.
Road Commission Engineer Craig Brown told the commission earlier this month that six culverts over various creeks on Gallivan Road will be replaced as part of this project.
