NORTHPORT- Don G. Wilcox, 88, of Northport, passed away May 27, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family. He was born March 13,1936 in Shattuck, Oklahoma and grew up in Wewoka and Chickasha, Oklahoma.
On September 1, 1956, he married his college sweetheart Kaye Jean Leighton from the Old Mission Peninsula in northern Michigan. They started married life in Ann Arbor, Michigan while still in college. They first lived in Mojave, California, followed by moves to other cities in California as his career took off. All four children were born while in California. The family moved to Wichita, Kansas, then to Morgantown, West Virgina. Summers were always spent in Northport, Michigan, where they have lived since retirement.
